Arman Melikyan: Armenia cannot use results of referendum in South Sudan as precedent

Former foreign minister of NKR Arman Melikyan said that Armenia cannot use the results of referendum in South Sudan as a precedent, as it does not pursue an active foreign policy.

The processes of Sudan’s and Kosovo’s self-determination are interesting precedents for Africa and Europe, Melikyan told a press conference in Yerevan.

“These processes allow superpowers to rule and have levers for exerting pressure in various regions,” concluded Melikyan.
