Azerbaijan’s Armenian refugees file 1100 suits to European Court of Human Rights

Azerbaijan’s Armenian refugees have filed 1100 suits to European Court of Human Rights, demanding compensation of lost property from Azeri authorities.

As the head of RA State Migration Service Gagik Yeghanyan told a news conference on January 1990’s pogroms in Baku, “the suits were taken into consideration, however no final decision has been passed yet. The homes of Baku’s Armenians were located in the most prestigious quarters of the city. The refugees left behind 92 thousand apartments as well as other property, estimated at billions of dollars.”
