The process of Armenia-Turkey rapprochement is currently in passive stage; however, it did not exhaust itself, according to a member of Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).
As Gagik Minasyan told a news conference in Yerevan, the process allowed to take disputes on Armenian Genocide as far as Turkey, which was impossible for centuries.
Due to the process, Armenia was able to demonstrate its openness for discussions as well as readiness to normalize relations without preconditions to international community.
“Armenia’s stance is supported by the international community, which, in turn, puts Turkey in a disadvantageous position,” Minasyan concluded.
