Sergey Minasyan: Turkish and Azerbaijani politicians dismayed

People both in Azerbaijan and Turkey are disappointed that Baku’s continuous threats of war proved to be mere bravado, an Armenian expert said.

“Ongoing threats to unleash a new war were supposed to be followed by action, but this did not happen. Under the circumstances, it’s not accidental that many politicians in Azerbaijan and Turkey can’t decide whether they should go on threatening Armenians or pretend scared that Armenia itself can start a war to regain all that it didn’t in 1994,” Sergey Minasyan, head of the political studies department at the Caucasus Institute, told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Earlier, Turkish parliamentarian Hasan Ercelebi told Day.az that “if Armenia dares resolve the Karabakh conflict by the use of force, it will make a fatal mistake.”
