Lithuanian President to visit Armenia early May

Armenia, as a member of the OSCE, is ready to contribute to the reforms within the organization and enhancement of its role, Armenian Foreign Minister said.

“I’m very glad that the visit of my Lithuanian counterpart concurred with the celebration of the country’s national holiday. The visit is symbolic, Lithuania having been the fist country to recognize Armenia’s independence in 1991,” Edward Nalbandian said at a joint news conference with the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Azubalis.

The Minister gave high assessment to Armenian-Lithuanian relations, expressing hope for the Lithuanian President’s visit, scheduled for early May, to further contribute to development of bilateral ties.
