Real developments in political life of Armenia will start in autumn, with beginning of election campaign, according to Alexander Iskandaryan, Director of Caucasus Institute.
“Radical rhetoric in Armenia will intensify by autumn. There will be new attempts to raise rally activities, because political dialogue between the authorities and ANC does not mean disappearance of contradictions,” Iskandaryan said.
“As regards summer time, now we experience retardation process,” he said.
The political scientist thinks that the parties will try to retain the process, but “inertly and sluggishly.”
During June 30 rally of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), its leader Levon Ter-Petrossian stated that the dialogue should focus on key issues, specifically, snap elections and establishment of legitimate power in the country. He said that unless the authorities satisfy their demands this time, next time they will demand for the immediate resignation of current President.
Next rally is scheduled for August 1.
