“Latest assertions of Azeri Deputy Foreign Minister are continuation of Azerbaijani authorities’ attempt to get rid of Madrid principles at any cost,” member of Parliamentary faction of the Republic Party of Armenia (RPA), Hovhannes Sahakyan said.
The statements of Azeri Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov regarding ‘maximal concessions’ in Karabakh conflict, and that Azerbaijan is concerned about presence of Russian military men in Armenia, as well as his discontent with Russian mediation are made on the background of Russia’s active efforts to achieve progress in talks, on the background of Azimov’s visit to Moscow and other co-chairs’ assurance of their fully support of Russia’s efforts, according to RPA member. In this context Sahakyan stressed that this reveals true intentions of Azerbaijan.
Member of Parliament also addressed spread information of Azeri media outlets that Armenians put explosive device into a toy, as a result of which a 13-year old girl died. This is a cheap provocation, and even Foreign Minister of Russia noted that only after respective investigation the happening must be given estimate, according to him.
“Mildly saying, Sergey Lavrov’s statement means ‘don’t talk nonsense’,” said Sahakyan.
Evidently, the situation with Azeri girl is what frequently occurs in conflict zones, according to him. “Children found a mine or explosive shell and took it home, and due to carelessness it exploded bringing to tragedy. It is nonsense to assert that the explosive device was put into toy which floated on water preserving its explosive features,” said RPA member.
Several days ago Azeri media outlets spread information that an explosive device worked in the village Alibeyli, Tovuz, bordering with Armenia, as a result of which a 13-year old girl Shakhmaliyeva Aygun died, and her mother got serious injuries. According to Azeri statements, this incident was allegedly put up by Armenians.
