Yerevan to host Eastern Partnership Platform 4 youth event

The EU Youth on the Move program bringing together young participants from Eastern Partnership is designed to become a common platform for a dialogue among its participants, head of EU delegation in Armenia Traian Hristea said on March 26.

Yerevan will host Eastern Partnership Platform 4 youth event on March 26-28, 2012, which will provide an opportunity to young people to learn new financial tools to boost their professional skills and competitiveness on the labor market. The Youth on the Move program estimated about EURO 3 million is expected involve about 21000 young participants from Eastern Partnership member-states.

Speaking at a press conference in Yerevan about the program participants, Hristea said Belarus' youth is free to participate. As to Azerbaijan, it will be informed about the program implementation via a EU mission office. The EU representative said Azerbaijan perhaps did not respond to the event because of currently celebrated holidays, namely Novruz.

For his part, Armenia's deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Arsen Karamyan noted that as a rule, the youth is more capable of resolving conflicts.
