Heritage and Free Democrats opposition parties plan to form a liberal coalition in case of success in the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
“We are confident of our success, as a result of which we will form a coalition or a team to implement our programs,” vice president of Heritage party Ruben Hakobyan said, adding that the forces to join the possible coalition will be determined following the elections.
Mr. Hakobyan stressed power shift as their only goal, noting transition from a semi-presidential to a parliamentary system as one of the party’s programs.
Free Democrats party member Alik Arzumanyan, in turn, said that the coalition will be formed by solely liberal forces, ruling out a union of pro-government forces in case of a victory.
