First David Nalbandian lost to Marin Cilic 7:5, 4:6, 6:4, 6:7 and 3:6. Juan Martin del Potro defeated Ivo Karlovic 6:2, 7:6 and 6:1. Then del Potro beat Cilic 6:1, 6:2 and 6:1.
In the doubles, David Nalbandian and Eduardo Schwank overcame Croats Marin Cilic and Ivo Karlovic 3:6, 7:6, 6:3, 6:7 and 8:6.
Argentina is going to rival Czech Republic in Davis Cup semifinal.
According to tennis.com, this is an opportunity match for both nations: if Argentina wins it will host the November 16-18th final against either Spain or the USA. If the Czech Republic prevails it would host Spain or play the final in the United States if the Americans advance.
