US GOVERNMENT READY TO COOPERATE WITH ALL INTERESTED PARTIES TO SUSTAIN PEACE IN SOUTH CAUCASUS

The US government is ready to cooperate with all interested parties to sustain peace, freedom and wellbeing in the South Caucasus. US president George W. Bush’s address to Congress on providing assistance to Azerbaijan owing to extension of the term of waiver of Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act says it. Let us remind that according to the section passed by US Congress in 1992, rendering any American aid to Azerbaijan is banned as it holds a blockade of Armenia. George W. Bush’s statement is accompanied by a report detailing the US assistance programs being implemented in Azerbaijan, their role in maintaining the balance between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the status of talks on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement.
