Paper: RPA to bribe electoral officials for USD 300-500

According to the data of Yerkir paper, the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is going to bribe members of electoral commissions of their rival parties in constituencies it is “unlikely to win”, by offering them USD 300-500.

Some RPA members are going to pocket the money meant for these purposes and use their own levers to reach the aim by intimidating the electoral representatives and threatening them with dismissal, paper reports.

However, the RPA is not fully into the election campaign, some of its members being unhappy with the party's proportional list.

So, many may quit the party ahead of the elections, the paper claims suggesting that some may even join other parties in future, the paper says.
