Coordinator of Armenian Youth Foundation board of trustees urged Armenian people to unify in the face of the tragedy.
“The idea of national unity must once and for all become consolidated with Armenian people and adopted as a main motive force,” MP Karen Avagyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter during a visit to Tsitsernakaberd memorial to Genocide victims.
The MP also stressed recent progress in the campaign for international recognition of Genocide, noting that the process became intensified thanks to Armenia’s foreign policy. Avagyan expressed hope for further success of the campaign and prevention of crimes against humanity.
“The day will come for Turkey to recognize the crime it perpetrated, and that day is near,” the parliamentarian stressed.
