Armenian President unhappy with politician’s deputy mandate

Armenian President, leader of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Serzh Sargsyan strongly objects to a deputy mandate given to president of the Political Analysts Union Hmayak Hovhannisyan, Zhoghovurd paper says.

At his recent meeting with Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan, President Sargsyan, discontented with Hovhannisyan’s stance, said the latter won’t join the parliament.

Hovhannisyan told Zhoghovurd he was unaware of these rumors.

“Well, if Serzh Sargsyan is dealing with this issue, I’d better retain my deputy mandate to make his life more exciting,” the paper quotes Hovhannisyan as saying.
