According to 168 Zham daily, discontent is growing in Prosperous Armenia party over the possibility of forming a coalition with the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).
As the daily’s sources say, “the number of those discontented with the situation is much higher that expected, with Vartan Oskanian mulling creation of a new parliamentary team.”
As the sources close to Prosperous Armenia say, Vahe Hovhannisyan, Hamayak Hovhannisyan and Elinar Vardanyan, numbers 7, 9 and 11 in the party’s candidate list also share Oskanian’s opinion.
As the daily notes, should a coalition be formed, the MPs listed may leave the Prosperous Armenia parliamentary group, however, retaining deputy mandates.
“To avoid such an outcome, Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan proposed President Serzh Sargsyan to appoint Vartan Oskanian as a parliament speaker. Reportedly, Oskanian doesn’t mind,” the daily said.
