REPORTS ON US NEGOTIATING RENT OF MILITARY AERODROME WITH YEREVAN FALSE

The Armenian defense ministry flatly denied reports of a number of Armenian newspapers that the US negotiates rent of a military aerodrome with official Yerevan. As the press service of the Armenian defense ministry told “Arminfo” agency, such reports are false. The US has not made neither written, nor oral appeals to rent the airport (specifically, “Shirak” airport of the city of Gyumri), the source reported. Let us note that Armenian foreign ministry press secretary Dzyunik Aghajanian also stated earlier that the US had not asked to put the airport at its disposal.
