On behalf of his state Iraqi ambassador to Baku Halib Abd Hussein al-Tamimi refused Azeri citizens volunteering for the Iraqi war against the US. As the Iraqi ambassador told journalists in Baku, CenterAN reports, “official Baghdad is very grateful even for the moral support by Azeri citizens, but it will not promote to the movement of the volunteers from Azerbaijan to Iraq.” Let us remind that the Azeri leadership has officially declared support to the US actions in Iraq.
