Opposition may assume power in Armenia in case of winning over 50-60% of the parliament. Chairman of the National Democratic Union of Armenia Vazgen Manukian told journalists. He noted, “it is possible to result from a national movement.” V. Manukian also mentioned the Constitutional Court consideration of the suit on recognition of the returns of the presidential election void as a way for changing authority in Armenia. In his words, in case of a negative court verdict the opposition will address the European Court of Human Rights. Moreover, V. Manukian considered the passing of a new Constitution and holding new presidential election within a year as one of the possible scenarios. In his opinion, the developments in Armenia hamper inflow of investments to the country. At the same time V. Manukian emphasized the importance of not only changing authorities, but also systemic reforms in the country.
