The radioactive waste, which can appear resulting from the military operations in Iraq, can reach Armenia by means of air flows. Concern over it was expressed by chief of the Agency for hydro-meteorology and environment monitoring Gennady Kojoyan. As reported by “Arka” agency, he noted that on the initial days of the beginning of military operations in Iraq Armenian meteorologists addressed CIS research institutes to get necessary information on discharge of gas spreading over the zone of hostilities.
