According to Yerkir daily, the authorities’ intension to dismiss some of the heads of regional administrations was reconsidered.
“The heads of regional administrations affiliated with the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) will retain their posts. After much thought, Armenian leader decided to keep the governors on their positions until presidential poll. RPA heads of administrations can now breathe freely; at the same time, they understand that the elections will be decisive for many of them,” the daily said.
The heads of administration, who failed at parliament poll, were given a second chance by replacing Prosperous Armenia party representatives. As the daily reported, RPA parliament group member Rafik Grigoryan and RPA representative, Vayk Mayor Harutyun Sargsyan will be appointed as the heads of Gegharkunik and Vayots Dzor provinces respectively.
