Iranian President Mohammad Khatami’s visit to Yerevan will first of all promote bilateral economic relations, stated Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margarian upon seeing off the Iranian leader at Zvartnots Airport. In his words, after the completion of the visit, implementation of the agreements made both in the course of M. Khatami’s present visit to Armenia and R. Kocharian’s visit to Iran will begin. A. Margarian also reported that just before the Iranian leader’s departure a memorandum on transport cooperation was signed.
