A member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), the head of Armenia’s Christian Democratic Union believes the government’s 5-year program to be a basic document, which will become a foundation of the government’s specific activities.
“The government couldn’t have developed a more specific document in a 20-day term, so asking for more, under he circumstances, would be unreasonable,” Khosrov Harutyunyan told a news conference.
Harutyunyan characterized the government-proposed document as an adequate one, noting that the document stipulates the executive body’s priorities and tasks for the next 5 years, including curbing corruption, polarization of population’s income, decentralization of Yerevan and Armenian regions, promotion of medium and small businesses.
“The key issue is to inspire trust in the government’s ability to implement the program,” the politician said.
