COUNCIL OF WALES CAPITAL RECOGNIZED ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

Cardiff Council has recognized the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey in 1915. As reported 525 Azeri newspaper, City Council member Rodney Berman stated thereupon that a monument to Genocide victims will be erected in Cardiff in 2005. It became possible owing to the three-year work of Armenia-Wales friendship group. It should be noted that the group members considered the fact as a preliminary step on the way of acknowledgement of the Genocide by the UK.
