National Unification Union headed by ex-candidate for the Armenian president Artashes Geghamian is not going to join the opposition common block at the coming parliamentary election. As deputy chairman of the union Koryun Arakelian said in an interview to the Public Television Company of Armenia, the party is seriously preparing to the election on both majority and proportional systems. The government oriented Republican Party of Armenia, headed by prime minister Andranik Margarian, will also stand for the election separately. As stated by deputy chairman of the party Tigran Torosian, taking into account the fact that political parties are not completely formed in Armenia, the links between them are weak. A similar stand is taken by the influential Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun, which will also participate in the parliamentary election independently. At the same time member of the Dashnaktsutyun supreme body Armen Rustamian emphasized that a number of non-party political and public figures would be included in the party list.
