The US will continue cooperation with Armenia and its president Robert Kocharian, as it has done within the recent years. As reported by “Mediamax” agency, US ambassador to Armenia John Ordway said today. Answering the question whether the US president George W. Bush was going to congratulate Robert Kocharian on reelection, the ambassador said he could not speak on behalf of the president or surmise the time the message might be received and its content. The American diplomat emphasized that the US agreed with the OSCE and Council of Europe observers’ opinion on the presidential elections in Armenia. Moreover, as noted by J. Ordway, the Washington’s position on the issue is reflected in the statement of the official representative of the US Department of State made the other day.
