Iranian leader Mohammad Khatami congratulated Robert Kocharian on reelection as Armenian president for the second term. His message expressed confidence that after Kocharian’s victory the development and strengthening of the Armenian-Iranian relations in all spheres will continue “proceeding from the interests of the two nations and the need for peace and stability in the region.”
