During the UN General Assembly special session dedicated to the 60-th anniversary of the liberation of concentration camps Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian on behalf of the government and people of Armenia and as an heir of those, who survived the Armenian Genocide, spoke of the responsibility for genocide on whole, and in part, for the first genocide of the 20-th century – the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire. Hitler’s statement “who remembers the massacres of Armenians today?” gives an idea of the role of a third party in preventing and responsibility for genocide. “I am here today because 90 years ago Arabs rendered shelter to the Armenian refugees”, Vardan Oskanian stated. “Genocide is a deed of the state machine. Recognition of victims means that criminals, who are responsible for the genocide, exist”, the Minister said.
