Eurasian information league to promote idea of Eurasian integration

Journalists and public figures participating in the first Eurasian youth forum “Young Eurasia” agreed on establishment of a Eurasian information league, vice president of Eurasian Partnership Development Foundation said.

Andrei Smirnov stressed the establishment of ties between media and post-Soviet states’ NGOs as the key goal of the organization to be set up.

“After establishment of Eurasian information league, we will explain its benefits,” he said, adding that the organization is open to cooperation with media and freelance journalist.

“The organization won’t be confined to post-Soviet countries’ geographical borders,” Mr. Smirnov said.

From August 22-27, Armenia’s resort town of Tsaghkadzor hosted the first Eurasian youth forum “Young Eurasia”. The event has brought together delegations from 14 CIS and Baltic states, as well as from Transnistria and Gagauzia unrecognized republics.
