ARMENIAN OPPOSITION DEMANDS INSTITUTING CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS AGAINST CENTRAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION CHAIRMAN

The opposition forces of Armenia have addressed a letter to the prosecutor general of the republic demanding to institute criminal proceedings against chairman of the central electoral commission of Armenia Artak Sahradian. As declared an opposition meeting in Yerevan yesterday, “mass irregularities in the course of the second round of the presidential elections in Armenia were of organized nature with participation of both electoral commissions and the central one, which is a penal action.” “A criminal negligence is admitted by the central electoral commission chairman Artak Sahradian, as a result the interests of candidate Stepan Demirchian are seriously impaired,” – says the letter sent to the prosecutor general of Armenia.
