AZERI OMBUDSMAN CALLED ICRC BAKU OFFICE TO TAKE “URGENT STEPS” TO LIBERATE SOLDIERS TAKEN CAPTIVE WHEN TRESPASSING KARABAKH BORDER

Ombudsman of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova has sent a letter addressed to head of the International Committee of the Red Cross Baku Office Mary Werntz, thanking for efforts “to liberate three Azeri soldiers taken captive by Armenians. Elmira Suleymanova has asked the ICRC to undertake “urgent steps” to liberate the captives. It should be reminded that February 15 servicemen of the fifth defense territory of Nagorno Karabakh discovered and took captive three Azeri servicemen, who had trespassed the border. After clearing out the circumstances, to all appearance, the Azeri captives will be exchanged.
