As reported by the electoral headquarters of presidential contender, incumbent Armenian president Robert Kocharian, today opposition candidate Stepan Demirchian’s representatives have been trying to hamper normal course of the vote in the second round of the presidential elections at a number of election centers. Vahagn Mkrtchian, a representative of R.Kocharian’s electoral headquarters, told “Mediamax” agency the incumbent president’s electoral staff registered all complaints and would submit them for consideration by the central electoral commission of Armenia. Commenting on statements of Stepan Demirchian’s electoral headquarters on “mass violations” taking place in the course of the second round of the elections, V.Mkrtchian expressed opinion that by taking such steps the opposition tried to form an impression that free and fair elections could not be organized in Armenia.
