AS OF 4:00 P.M. 49.5% OF ELECTORATE VOTED IN ELECTION SECOND ROUND

As of 4:00 p.m. local time 1 153 148 constituents, i.e. 49.5% of the electorate, have participated in the vote of the second round of the presidential elections in Armenia. As reported by deputy chairman of the central electoral commission of Armenia Hamlet Abrahamian, 344 075 people or 46,1% of the constituency have voted in Yerevan. The situation in the republic regions is as follows: Aragatsotn – 41610 electors (43,9%), Ararat – 102410 (55,3%), Armavir – 103048 (50,2%), Gegharkunik – 94801 (55,7%), Lori – 114068 (47,7%), Kotayk – 102556 (48,5%), Shirak – 98439 (46,8%), Syunik – 74372 (59,4%), Vayots Dzor – 20756 (55,8%) and Tavush – 54734 (59,3%). H.Abrahamian noted there was no essential difference between the electorate’s activity in the first and second rounds.
