13 COMPLAINTS AND APPLICATIONS RECEIVED BY CENTRAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION BY 3:00 P.M.

As of 3:00 p.m. local time 13 complaints and applications on the second round of the presidential elections were received by the central electoral commission of Armenia. As reported by commission legal expert Nune Hovhannisian, the majority of the complaints were received from representatives of the People party, specifically referring to replacements in the composition of district electoral commissions. She explained that such substitutions were provided for by the Electoral Code of Armenia. “Complaints of the attitudes of proxies, who put pressure on members of electoral commissions, form a large part among the complaints lodged,” – the legal advisor said. All applications, in her words, will be submitted to relevant legal bodies, after which concrete steps will be undertaken regarding them.
