SITUATION IN SOUTH CAUCASUS DISCUSSED BY RUSSIAN-AMERICAN WORKING GROUP ON ANTI-TERROR

The last developments in the South Caucasus region have been discussed at the sitting of the Russian-American working group on the struggle against terrorism. The sitting presided by Russian foreign minister first deputy Vyacheslav Trubnikov and US State Secretary first deputy Richard Armitage was held in the US. As reported to “Mediamax” agency in the US State Department, “the subgroup on the South Caucasus and Central Asia issues conducted thorough discussions on assistance to the development processes in these regions”. The American and Russian parties also pointed out their wish to assist in the Abkhazian conflict settlement.
