AS OF 1:00 P.M. OVER 27% OF ELECTORATE PARTICIPATED IN ELECTIONS

According to the data of the central electoral commission of Armenia, as of 1:00 p.m. local time 628 203 voters, which makes 27.25% of the total electorate, have participated in the second round of presidential elections in Armenia. Deputy head of the central electoral commission Hamlet Abrahamian said on the basis of the data of 56 electoral districts. In his words, 186 510 constituents voted in Yerevan, i.e. 25% of the capital’s total electorate. The situation in the regions is as follows: Aragatsotn – 27.5%, Ararat – 19.8%, Armavir – 29.5%, Gegharkunik – 32.7%, Lori – 26.8%, Kotayk – 17.3%, Shirak – 24%, Syunik 38.5%, Vayots Dzor – 31.8% and Tavush – 36.7%. H.Abrahamian noted the absence of notable difference in the electorate’s activity between the first and the second rounds. In his words, a large amount of applications and complaints has been submitted to the central electoral commission, in particular, due to changes in the composition of district electoral commissions. “All complaints are taken into account and will be addressed efficiently,” – H.Abrahamian said.
