The official welcoming ceremony of new Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bank Armenia cjsc, Thies Clemenz, took place on Monday, Oct 1, in the presence of government and Central Bank officials, HSBC Armenia clients and local staff.
Mr Clemenz replaced Astrid Clifford on August 29.

Thies Clemenz was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bank Armenia cjsc with effect from August 23, 2012 and was registered to that position by the RA Central Bank on 29 August 2012. He started his career at Deutsche Bank AG as a member of the Global Controlling Asset Management team in 1998 after graduating with a degree in business management from the University of St. Gallen (HSG). After holding various management functions at Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt, Paris and London, Thies Clemenz was appointed as COO and Managing Director of HSBC Global Assets Management (Germany) GmbH in 2005. In August 2010 he moved to Luxembourg as Deputy Country Head and CEO of HSBC Trinkaus Investment Managers SA.
