“TURKEY WILL NOT OPEN BORDER WITH ARMENIA”, TURKISH NAVAL FORCES COMMANDER STATED

Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces Admiral Ozden Ornek and Azerbaijani Defense Minister Safar Abiyev met in the Azeri Ministry of Defense, Day.az reports. When touching upon the present military and political situation in the South Caucasian and Caspian states, the Azeri Minister said that “Turkey will always support Azerbaijan in realization of major projects and fair settlement of the Karabakh conflict and will never open the borders with aggressive Armenia.” Ozden Ornek in his turn stressed that despite the pressure exerted upon Turkey Ankara has not opened the border so far. “Though the efforts of Armenians are directed to it we will not open our borders. Turkey and Azerbaijan should support each other”, he noted.
