World Armenian Congress convention, hosting 147 participants from 17 countries, has kicked off in Yerevan.
At the gathering, the head of the Union of Armenians of Russia, Ara Abrahamyan has been reelected as the Congress president.
In his speech, Abrahamyan pledged to contribute to upholding and strengthening of Armenia-Diaspora relations.
President Serzh Sargsyan and the Catholicos of All Armenians his Holiness Karekin II attended the event.
