Women’s team of Mika Yerevan chess club scored a 3,5:0,5 win against Ashdod in round 6 of Israel-hosted European Club Cup.
Elina Danielian tied a game vs. Masha Klinova, with Harika Dronavalli beating Angela Borsuk, Lilit Mkrtchian and Lele Javakhishvili scoring wins against Olga Vasilyeva and Ludmila Tsifanskaya respectively.
With 8 points Yerevan club retains the 3rd position. Cercle d’Echecs still leads the tournament with 12 points.
European Club Cup will run until Oct 18. The time control in operation is 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes until the end of the game with an increment of 30 seconds from the start.
Mika was the winner of European Club Cup 2006.
