The central electoral commission of Armenia has denied the statements made at an opposition meeting March 1 that CIS executive secretary Yuri Yarov is dispensed from the office of head of the CIS observation mission, which will monitor the second round of the presidential elections in Armenia. As the commission told “Arminfo” agency, Yuri Yarov is expected to arrive in Yerevan today and is scheduled to meet with the commission leadership March 4. The Russian central electoral commission also confirmed Yarov’s intention to leave for Yerevan. Let us remind that in the course of an opposition meeting held in the center of Yerevan March 1 leader of the National Democratic Party, Armenian parliament deputy Shavarsh Kocharian said “Yuri Yarov is dispensed from the post of the CIS observation mission head for subjective assessment of the returns of the presidential elections held February 19.”
