CATHOLICOS OF ALL ARMENIANS MEDIATED RELEASE OF PROCESSION PARTICIPANTS ARRESTED FOR ADMINISTRATIVE OFFENCES

Catholicos of all Armenians Garegin II has addressed the Armenian president a call to release the participants of the unauthorized meetings, who are serving administrative sentence. As reported by “Arminfo” agency, incumbent Armenian president Robert Kocharian told journalists today. At the same time he specified that not the president, but the court passed decision on releasing the detained. In the president’s words, Garegin II also appealed to that instance. Robert Kocharian also expressed hope that the Armenian public would already become aware of the verdict today.
