The appointment of a EU representative in the South Caucasus is being considered. As reported by “Arminfo” agency, Georgian ambassador to Benelux countries Constantine Zaldastanishvili said. “The European Parliament supposes the EU role in the South Caucasus should increase,” – he noted. The representative’s mandate and scope of activities are being discussed at present. As noted by the ambassador, to all appearance the matter will be discussed in the course of the EU Troika visit to Georgia March 11-12.
