Czech Senator Jaromir Stetina announced he ready to work for acknowledgement of the Armenian Genocide. «I am ashamed the Czech Republic does not have the legislation up to now. I ask the Armenian community to support me in solving the problem,” he said. Stetina explained that his intention became stronger after the parliament of neighboring Poland passed a resolution over the Armenian Genocide. “Modern Turkey, the successor of the Ottoman Empire should have a sober evaluation of its history,” added the Czech Senator.
