The Union of Armenians of Russia representing millions of Armenians residing in that country, called the authorities and all political forces of Armenia participating in electoral processes to act “within the bounds of the law, democratic rules and procedures.” The Union statement released today notes the importance of maintaining the atmosphere of tolerance and civilized dialogue and emphasizes that “any destabilization of the political situation in the Republic is fraught with abrupt consequences for Armenia itself, as well as Armenian diasporas throughout the world.”
