By the evening of February 26 administrative proceedings had been instituted against 134 participants of opposition meetings and processions in Yerevan. As reported by the press service of the minister of justice of Armenia, these legal consequences resulted from violation of a number of items of the Armenian Code on administrative offences, including the items on disturbing public order and insubordination to representatives of the law-enforcement bodies. 78 people out of the called to account are sentenced to deprivation of liberty for 15 days, another 56 are fined. According to the source, 24 out of the detained had previous criminal convictions, among which hooliganism, murder, forgery of coins, illegal possession of arms.
