Azeri special services possess information that individual countries allocate funds for campaign against the building of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev said yesterday when addressing “East-West Energy Corridor – the Reality” conference opened in Washington. As reported by “press-center.ru,” Aliyev accused some US congressmen for coming for laying the pipeline through the territory of Armenia. In his turn president’s son Ilham Aliyev, who is first vice-president of the State Oil Corporation of Azerbaijan, told journalists in Baku that the campaign against Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline was launched by Armenia, the Armenian diaspora and some forces at one with them. In his words, “large financial flows will pass through Azerbaijan upon the realization of the project, which will strengthen the country potential for solving the Karabakh problem.” Thus, Armenia does not want Azerbaijan to have economic growth, Heydar Aliyev’s son concluded.
