TURKISH SPEAKER PROTESTS AGAINST RUSSIAN PARLIAMENT ADOPTING STATEMENT ON ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

Chairman of the Turkish Parliament Bulent Arinc has his visit to Russia scheduled in June to express protest against adoption of a statement acknowledging and censuring the Armenian Genocide by the Russian State Duma, reported RFE/RL. Having reported the message of the Turkish Speaker, AP reminded that a number of countries, including Argentine, Poland, Canada, France, Russia have acknowledged the Genocide and the Armenian lobby «puts pressure» upon the US Congress for passing a Resolution acknowledging the Armenian Genocide.
