Winners of Vienna International Photo Awards have recently been announced, with representatives of 63 countries participating.
Antonella Monzoni was awarded the first prize of €4,000, for her series “Wounded Armenia”. She shows here her own vision the life of Armenians, expressing her love for the country through her photographs.
Julie Glassberg was awarded the second prize of €2,000, for the cycle titled “Bill Kill” presenting a documentary work about Black Label Bike Club; the first group of outlaw motorcyclists, created in 1992 by Jacob Houle and Per Hanson, in Minneapolis.
Finally, the third laureate is Jacques Borgeto, awarded €1,000 for L’Autre versant du monde (Other Side of the World). He shares his love for South-America in the prints taken in Chile, Argentina, the salins of Atacama, geysers of Tatio, pampas of Santa Rosa and the Valdés peninsula.
An exhibition of the prize-winner works will run from November 16 to December 15, Art Media Agency (AMA) official website reported.
