PM: CIS, EU integration processes don’t contradict one another

Prime Minister Sargsyan noted Russia as Armenia’s strategic partner, expressing Yerevan’s readiness to deepen bilateral relations with Moscow.

“The necessity of developing special cooperation mechanisms with our country over the lack of a common border with EurAsEC countries was discussed during the latest meeting between Armenian and Russian presidents. A working group has been set up to foster the integration processes,” he said, adding that the above-mentioned processes in the framework f CIS and EurAsEC are essential to Armenia.

Prime Minister Sargsyan further noted that CIS and EU integration processes don’t contradict one another, with the talks on Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement already launched.
