Bashkirov and Partners Russian company has held a survey of 1500 Russians to find out which countries Russians consider «friendly» and which «do not have a friendly attitude towards Russia.» 36.6% of the respondents called Belarus Russia’s number 1 friend. The second and third places were occupied by Germany – 19.6% and Ukraine – 15.8%. The top ten includes France – 11.3%, China – 9.5%, UK – 7.5%, US – 7.3%, Armenia – 4.5%, Italy – 4.3% and Kazakhstan – 3.5%. Meanwhile, according to the returns of the survey, there are countries that are named in both categories. Thus, the list of countries that «do not have a friendly attitude towards Russia» includes the US – 33.5%, Latvia – 19.5%, Georgia -16.1% and Lithuania -14.9%, Afghanistan – 9.3%, Estonia and Iraq – 9% each, Ukraine – 8% and China – 5.5%. 14.1% of the respondents consider that Russia does not have friends among other countries at all, while 6.5% suppose Russia has no foes.
